Do I have to do the catalogues?

There are two sides to this business: collecting retail orders from customers and team building. You don’t have to do the retailing forever. We recommend people view the retail as an “apprenticeship” because we believe you can’t teach what you don’t know. Initially, we will show you how to earn money from the retail and then, if you are willing to learn, we will show you how to build a team. You will build a successful business through duplication. Your team will duplicate everything you do, whether it is good or bad! Every successful Kleeneze distributor started out by doing some retail.

Do I have to introduce other people?

You don’t have to if you don’t want to. You can earn a substantial income by yourself. There are people earning in excess of £30,000 a year with Kleeneze just through their own efforts with the catalogues. In time you can make more by sponsoring if you wish.

Top

Are the incomes that I've seen true?

Yes. Because we are a founder member of the Direct Selling Association we are not allowed by law to exaggerate any of the incomes. All the big earners started off by earning a few hundred pounds a month and then learned how to increase their income.

Top

What's the difference between this and other home shopping companies?

We are quite different from the others because we don’t impose territory restrictions on our distributors. With Kleeneze you have a sponsor who teaches you what to do and you learn at your own pace. With the other home shopping companies you usually have an area manager who tells you what to do. You have no boss with Kleeneze but you do have a sponsor who will help you earn as much as you want.

What's the difference between this and other network marketing opportunities?

There are several significant differences between Kleeneze and the other network marketing opportunities. The biggest difference is that our distributors can make money from their first week. Another big difference is that you don’t need buy any stock up front. You only order stock when your customers have ordered it first. With Kleeneze there is no selling involved - the catalogue does it for you. Everyone in Kleeneze makes money because our customers buy the products, not the distributors. Most of the other network marketing businesses recruit people by promising a dream. Kleeneze actually delivers the dream!

What can I realistically expect from this business when I start?

The first few times that you go out with your catalogues you should expect to lose some of your books (This is due to various reasons - Dogs eat them, They get rained on, Children use them as colouring books, to name but a few). The national average for book loss at the start of your Kleeneze business is approximately 10%. You should also expect, again based on national averages, £1 per book collected in orders.

For example: If you delivered 100 catalogues, you should expect to lose 10 books and gain £90 in orders (which in turn will give you approximately £19 profit).

Remember that your area may be above or below the national average

Is it difficult to run my own business?

Kleeneze is a very simple business and in our group we major on support. If you work our system and show us that you want to get on, you will get all the support you need. Coaching is provided in many forms, from basic induction through to advanced tuition. You will be in business for yourself… but not by yourself - there’s a big difference!

Top

I’m on benefits. Will they be affected?

Not necessarily. It all depends on what benefits you receive. We have people in our team that legitimately run a Kleeneze business and claim benefits. In some cases, you will find that you are better off running a legitimate Kleeneze business as other, more appealing, benefits can be claimed. if you need advice on this we may be able to help.

How do I order the products and how soon will they arrive?

You can order the goods via fax/post, or on-line. Sending orders by fax/post works out to be more expensive than placing orders on-line. By far the easiest, quickest and cheapest way of ordering is by using the on-line ordering facility as it does a lot of the work for you - all you do is type in the product codes and quantity that customers have ordered and the site does the rest! The on-line service does have a very low cost subscription associated with it: This is £10.00 per period. However, if a valid email address is supplied to Kleeneze and verified this is reduced to £7.50 per period (inclusive of VAT).

When ordering on-line, it all works off a 1:15 PM deadline and on weekdays only. You will receive your order during the day of 48 hours after the next deadline (counting weekdays only). For example:

Are there any costs to run this business?

All businesses have running costs. In Kleeneze these costs are very small and are detailed below:

(All charges are inclusive of VAT)

On-line service

The on-line service has a subscription charge associated with it. This charge is £10.00 per period. However if a valid email address is supplied to Kleeneze and verified this charge is reduced to £7.50 per period.

Handling charges for orders

All orders are subject to a handling charge in accordance with the scale below. However, no charge will be levied on orders received using the on-line ordering facility where the gross retail value, inclusive of sales aids, is in excess of £250 (€375). In addition to this, orders in excess of £150 (€225) received from distributors in their first four weeks of registration pay no handling charge. Handling charges (if any) are added to the invoice for that order and charged to your account.

Do I have to pay up-front for the products before they are dispatched?

No, you do not have to pay up front for the goods before they are dispatched. Everyone who starts their Kleeneze business gets a credit account of £500 against which you order your products. This enables you to get the money from the customers before you need to pay Kleeneze for the cost price of the products (keeping approximately 21% for yourself). The limit on this credit account can be raised if you need it later on in your Kleeneze career. The application is as simple as ticking a couple of boxes (if you register on-line), or signing a credit account application/agreement if you do not register on-line. Don't panic about this credit account because as long as you keep your account in good order the credit facility is free.

How often do the catalogues change?

The main book changes about 4 times a year but only 2 of these changes are a new book. The other 2 changes are just a cover change to make it look like a new book. The health and beauty catalogue changes about every 9 months.

The seasonal specialogue changes 4 times a year and for the most part IS a completely new book each time. The cost of replacing this book is relatively low and just becomes an expense of the business. The four books are: January Sale; Spring book; Summer book; and the Christmas book. The Spring and Summer books do share the same products between them but, you can appreciate given that it is a specialogue, new/old ones are also added/removed.

That said, the products in the "new" books don't change that much (except for the specialogues) - old products are taken out and new ones added - it is not a TOTALLY new book

Can I do this business if I don't have a car?

There are several people in our organisation who can’t drive, due to disablement or other reasons. The retail side of the business is harder if you don’t have a car but the rewards are substantial if you are prepared to work hard. If you learn the team building side of the business then most of your income will come from Kleeneze as bonuses based on the turnover of your whole group, not just your own retail. Read the story of Jay Singh in the Distributor testimonials section of this site by clicking here.

Top

How much time will I need?

How much time do you have? Many of our distributors are now earning in excess of £1,000 per month and they’re only spending 10 to 12 hours on their business each week. You decide how many hours you want to use each week. Realistically, to earn £500+ per month you will need about 12-15 hours a week at first. As your business grows you will earn more money without needing any more time.

Top

Can I still do this business if there are already several Kleeneze distributors in my area?

We would be very surprised if there weren't already a couple of distributors operating in your neighbourhood! However, the reality is that only 1 in 8 homes regularly receives a Kleeneze catalogue so there is still plenty of room for new distributors. If that weren't enough, we are now also operating in the Netherlands and Germany with more expansion into the rest of Europe soon. Of course, if you live in the UK you won't be cataloguing in mainland Europe but you will learn how to sponsor people in those countries. There really couldn't be a better time to join this business as our growth in the next ten years is going to be huge.

Top

Is this a pyramid scheme?

No. Pyramid schemes were made illegal in this country a long time ago and rightly so. Kleeneze is a founder member of the Direct Selling Association so that alone will tell you that we are a legitimate and ethical business. You can tell we are not a pyramid scheme because all of our products are bought at the same price, no matter who buys them.

Top

Will the business work for me?

Do you consider yourself to have a good work ethic? If you do then you will find our coaching and support second to none. All you need to do is do some work! A lot will depend on you but we will help you as much as we can.

Top

What is the maximum that I could earn from this business?

There is NO maximum amount of money that you can earn. Earnings from this business are not capped in any way - if you want to earn more, then do more! it really is that simple!

Top

Do I have to sell anything?

The great thing about Kleeneze is that we don’t have to sell anything. The catalogues and recruiting tools sell the business for you! All we do is collect orders and show other people how to do the same.

Top

Is there a typical person or household that buys from Kleeneze?

There really is no pattern at all! your retail outlets are only limited to your imagination. By joining our team you get a free book which details a few different retail outlets to help get you started. We deliver to houses and sheltered housing and find the retail is fine. There also seems to be no rhyme or reason why people order or don't order - Basically, put the books out to wherever you want to and get the orders in. You shouldn't pre-judge though - the only way of knowing if a house (or outlet) will order is by giving them a book. Look in the free book that you get for ideas.

Top

When I take the money from the customers, where do I bank the money to pay Kleeneze?

Your customers can pay for their order by cash or cheque. The cheques should be payable to Kleeneze and you pay these into Nat West bank (although your bank may be prepared to accept them if you don't bank with Nat West - ours does!) using bank giro credit slips which are provided by Kleeneze. You can, of course, pay cash in via this method but it takes a couple of days or so for the funds to clear through to your Kleeneze account. The best way to handle the cash is to pay it into your bank account (you may want to set up another bank account to keep the Kleeneze money separate from your normal "day-to-day" account) and then pay Kleeneze using your debit card - the funds clear a great deal quicker using this method. A quick note about opening another account - open a personal account, NOT a business account as your bank will charge you if you open a business account

Top

Does it cost anything to join?

Because Kleeneze is a business, not a job, you do have to invest in a business kit to get started. If Kleeneze gave the kits away for free then almost everybody we speak to would join. Not all of them would have the right work ethic and a lot of them wouldn't even bother to open the kit! Someone would have to pay for all the kits that were not used and that would ultimately be the customer. If Kleeneze put their retail prices up to recoup the money for the wasted kits then our turnover would drop and those of us who have the proper work ethic would be subsidising those who don’t. That wouldn't be fair would it? Also, we always teach a duplicatable system... one that anyone can follow. If your sponsor paid for your business kit then you would be expected to do the same when people join your team and that isn't fair.

What do I do about tax etc.?

Everyone is worried about this at first! We can provide a simple guide with all the information that you will need to run your business. It is very easy and there is a lot of help available.

Top

How much does it cost to get started?

Probably a lot less than you think. The level of your initial investment will depend on how much you want to earn and how quickly you want to earn it.

See the how do I join? page for more details.

Why should I start with 200 Catalogues?

Compare the two scenarios below. They are both based on averages of 10% book loss and £1 per catalogue collected in orders.

Remember - a box of 50 sets of catalogues is £32 (That’s just 64p for each set).

After 3 runs, if you start with 50 catalogues, you have not yet made enough money to purchase more catalogues (and your catalogue numbers are dwindling). If you start with 200 catalogues however, you can afford to purchase more catalogues to bring your numbers up to about 200 and still have money left over to spend.

(Let’s continue - we will spend £32 on a box of catalogues)

After 5 runs, starting with 200 catalogues you have generated £822 worth of orders. That’s enough to earn you an EXTRA £51.70 as a bonus – Making your total earnings after just 5 runs £162.50 (that’s £160.50 MORE than if you started with 50 catalogues!)
